We were created for God's pleasure.

It is only when we realize that our life is not ours that we can begin to live as God would have us to live.

When we have a real encounter with God, when we have stood naked before Him--stripped of all pretense, preconceived notions and prefabricated ideas about who He is--then and only then do we begin to die to ourselves and let Christ have full control over our mind, body, emotions, and flesh. His will becomes the determining factor in everything we do. His will becomes the basis for our existence. And only in His will do we find holiness. Only in His will do we find peace and joy and wholeness.

When we die and let God's will completely take over to transform, renew, and conform us to His will and His way, we then become like the rest of God's creation: growing upward as the trees and mountains--deeply rooted in Jesus but ever reaching toward His Glory. Nature understands what man denies: that it is only in Him that we live, move and have our being.
