Never let someone else's small opinion of God limit your life! Just because they have chosen to keep the king of kings hidden in a back room of their life does not mean that you have to!!!! Declare that today you will begin to praise and worship the one true God boldly, loudly and without caring what other people think!!! God is looking for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth!!!!! #radicalforJesus
Do you know that if you are not in a covenant relationship with God through His son Jesus Christ, that your WORST days on earth will in fact be your BEST days in light of eternity? The choice to live apart from God's love holds no hope of better. In fact, if you are not a child of God, you are now experiencing the best that you will ever know....your life with all of it's problems, failures, disappointments, anxieties, worries and troubles will seem like paradise in comparison to an eternity apart from God.... let today be the day that you make the decision to live in eternity with the Eternal One who created you to be forever with Him.

Compelled

As the sons and daughters of God, we should daily rest in the assurance of our salvation: that this life lived on earth is only the beginning of all that we hope and live for;

At the same time, we should wrestle daily with the fact that every day, every hour and every minute, someone wakes up without that same assurance. The life they are living on this earth, is the best they will ever have. That this life- full of problems, unrest, heartache, worry, stress, anxiety, hatred, depression, oppression and the like- compared to the eternal torment of hell, is in fact, all of the heaven they will ever know.

I have been silent, but I have to say this:

My prayer is that more Christians would spend less time fighting about politics and more time praying for the politicians.

It seems that we have fallen into that time-tested, age old trap : getting caught up in the natural and fighting what we see with our natural eyes instead of pulling down all of those things that exalt themselves over the knowledge of Christ.

We have once again laid down our weapons of the supernatural to fight this war. We have abandoned our positions of authority in heavenly places to roll around in the mud, stooped to name calling instead of calling those things that are not as though they are.

We have given up territory that is ours--given to us by the King of Kings-- and resorted to using our own strategies instead of following the strategy given us by the Holy Ghost: Praying in the spirit ( praying in tongues) when you don't know how to pray or what to pray for.

I can just imagine our enemy telling his minions and imps to draw back, there is no need to expend their fiery darts right now. Hold your fire, he must be saying. Take this time to rest yourselves, get some sleep, even. We will gather our strength, reinforce our troops, plan new strategies.

Rest, while we can. Our enemy it seems, has turned on itself--we don't have to fight right now. This enemy , once so strong, is doing our job for us.

Restless

Oh that I would be so at rest in my Father's arms; Surrounded by His love-deep within His bosom; And that within me would stir such a restlessness because there are others who do not know such. ~~LAWofford~~

We were created for God's pleasure.

It is only when we realize that our life is not ours that we can begin to live as God would have us to live.

When we have a real encounter with God, when we have stood naked before Him--stripped of all pretense, preconceived notions and prefabricated ideas about who He is--then and only then do we begin to die to ourselves and let Christ have full control over our mind, body, emotions, and flesh. His will becomes the determining factor in everything we do. His will becomes the basis for our existence. And only in His will do we find holiness. Only in His will do we find peace and joy and wholeness.

When we die and let God's will completely take over to transform, renew, and conform us to His will and His way, we then become like the rest of God's creation: growing upward as the trees and mountains--deeply rooted in Jesus but ever reaching toward His Glory. Nature understands what man denies: that it is only in Him that we live, move and have our being.

Lessons from THE SHACK

What if we stop having expectations and instead started living with expectancy?
This is one of the questions posed by the writers of The Shack.

It made me really think. Hard.

What if I started letting people be who they are--completely. And instead of letting my focus wander to them , I keep my gaze fixed upon Jesus. The Perfect One.

What if I gave every person in my life permission to be themselves? Faults and all?

What if I gave God permission to be Himself in my life. Perfect, All-Knowing, the very definition of LOVE?

What would happen to my expectations of people? If I did it correctly--I would fully expect people to be people--fully human, fully HUMAN.

And my expectations of God. I think my expectations would morph into EXPECTANCY.

No matter what circumstance, situation or life-moment I may happen to find myself, I would live with the EXPECTANCY that God would show up, be revealed, guide, lead, prod and whisper me to where I need to be in that moment. But more importantly--just where HE IS AT THAT MOMENT.

Instead of depending on people to be what I expect them to be, it frees them to be themselves (and perhaps better?), and it frees me to just love. There is no burden on either party. They are free and I am free. No more shackles, no more chains, no more bondage!

Living this way gives God full access to every part of my life. I live expecting God to be God. And I free myself to be his child, in every sense of the word. Just like my children are free to be children, they look to me and trust me to be mom and to handle all of the "mom stuff".

I can have that same freedom.

I never really thought of freedom in this sense, but it is what I have desired for years. I just want the freedom to BE. WHATEVER. ME. WHATEVER.

No more shackles, no more chains, no more bondage, I am free!!! And in turn, I free all of the people in my life to just BE. And I will let God handle the rest. I will live in the expectancy that God will do exactly what He says in the Book of Romans.

Romans 8:28 NASB:

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Amen.
